Moments in our History

In 1988 Sky Bright, Sky Bright Inc at the time, was formed by Lee Avery and Greg Livernois with the intention of providing helicopter lifted lighted sign advertising. Little did they know that the business would evolve right from the start into a successful FBO, Flight School, Aircraft Maintenance, and Charter provider.

1988

After global events in 2001 Sky Bright refocused onto its core business, providing Reliable, Dependable, and Knowledgeable FBO services at KLCI. That focus has recultivated the company into the Premier Full-Service FBO at KLCI. Continuously providing excellent basic aircraft services and outstanding tailored services to our customer. With over 75% of the traffic at KLCI using our services we welcome everyone who wants to best for themselves and their aircraft.

2003

The year 2020 represented the start of another rejuvenation of Sky Bright and investment in improving the customer experience. From equipment acquisitions, staff additions, hangar additions and renovations, and much more Sky Bright is more prepared than ever to provide the outstanding service our customers have come to know and expect.

The year 2025 represented a landmark moment in Sky Brights history with Michael Tuck becoming part owner of the FBO. This marks a definitive moment in ensuring the long-term success of Sky Bright in marking sure we remain locally owned and here to support the Lakes Regions aviation community.
